So, while playing Ocarina of Time (classic!!) I discovered a glitch. If you ignore the well the first time through (as child Link) and go back the seven years later, jump in from the corner that points to both the brick wall and the wooden fencing near the shops, if you jump in from that corner, you should act as if you've just jumped in water. I'm not sure how I did this, but it happened and I had Link climb out, and look at it. The well was full of air, not water, and I have no idea how it happened, but it was a pretty neat glitch.

that's something good to know, i don't ever get the zora scales so i can't dive that far down. The Iron boots would work though.
